Racing to Excellence: From Vision to Achievement

With the conclusion of the Racing to Excellence Strategic Plan, Bowie State University celebrates a transformative era of progress and achievement under the leadership of President Aminta H. Breaux, Ph.D. Since becoming the university’s 10th president in 2017, Dr. Breaux set a vision to build upon the institution’s historic legacy while advancing three key priorities — academic excellence, student success and the long-term viability of the university. Through strategic leadership and a commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, Bowie State successfully strengthened its position as a regional and national leader in higher education.

The results of this focused effort are evident across the university. Bowie State has launched new undergraduate and graduate academic programs, expanded partnerships for experiential learning opportunities for students and implemented new buildings and facility enhancements that have revitalized the campus environment.
